Gail Rodrigues • Education Mountain

I was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  I am the ninth of eleven children and attended Lesley University on a full academic scholarship, receiving a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education.  Twenty-eight years ago I was recruited to teach by Greenville County School District and have done so at Augusta Circle Elementary School, Beck Academy, and at present, Woodmont Middle School, in the Special Education Department.

My husband Chester and I have five children: Nicole, Chester III, Christopher, Alex, and Alexis.  In 1989, I earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Furman University and later received an additional thirty hours from Clemson University.

In 2007, I became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Exceptional Needs Specialist/Early Childhood through Young Adulthood.  I enjoy sewing and reading when time permits.  "Striving to be the best", "Hard work pays off and attitude is everything is my belief.  To reach your goal, I believe you must "do your best and not give up".  Wilma Rudolph is one of my heroines because she did not allow her handicap to become an obstacle.  She rose above her bout with polio and reached her goal.  I also admire my mother who attended Wheelock College and was a teacher along with raising me and my ten brothers and sisters.

education mountain overview •
The Education Mountain is called to influence the arena of learning, so people have an opportunity to know the Truth; about God, Arts, Government, Business, Science, History, Culture, Family, and Church. We want to equip and network educators and people passonate about education, so they can be effective on their mountain and impact our culture! If you have a passion for Education, or even for learning and equipping people of all ages, then the Education Mountain is for you!

People deserve to learn the Truth - the realities that have the power to change culture for the better - not only to benefit this generation, but the generations to come. As the proverb says;

“Train a child up in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

We believe this is key to seeing God's perfect Kingdom completely manifested on Earth...sow the Seed of Truth into the current, younger generation, and the future will take care of itself...
