Russ Muse • Family Mountain
Russ is the Lead Pastor at Mt Zion. His wife, Lisa, is the Administrator for Mt Zion Christian School. They started out as volunteer teachers in the 4 and 5 year old class at Mt Zion. Russ has a passion for the family. He believes that laughter should be a consistent part of every family.

“I enjoy spending time with my wife, she’s my best friend!  My kids?  God has truly blessed me with a son and daughter who are my joy.   “Sure families have challenges, but I believe that a family can experience love, happiness, peace and fun that God wants every home to have.”

He is excited to be a part of the family mountain. Strong families are an integral part of a strong church.  We have a mandate to begin equipping our families to make that come to pass.

Russ’ wife, Lisa and two children Nathaniel and Meghan live in Simpsonville.

Mark Byrd • Family Mountain
Family has been an integral and vital part in my life as I have grown from a son, Husband, Father and now Grandfather.  Other than my relationship with my Father God, my family has been my greatest source of hope, love and encouragement. Coming to the MZCF family over 10 years ago has only incensed my desire to lead my family.  My passion is to see all men rise up and be the spiritual leaders of their families.  My spouse Regina is the love of my life and continually inspires me to seek God's word.  We have three incredibly talented gifts from God (Cherronda, Brandon and Brianna).  Our first grandchild Ryan David will be joined in life by a baby sister later in 2008.

Shari Horeth • Family Mountain
We found Mt. Zion in 2002 and have been dedicated ever since!  We love the diversity of the congregation and Russ' weekly teachings.

I've lived in Greenville most of my life with the exception of living in the Dominican Republic for 2 years and then in Italy for nearly 9 years before returning to Greenville where I met and married my husband, Ed.  Together we have Thomas, who will be in the 3rd grade here at Mt. Zion Christian School, and Ed has Taylor and Lindsay from a previous marriage.

I've enjoyed working the High School Youth, the PB&J Club and the Daisy Class and look forward to helping where needed.  I work from home as a Travel Agent and enjoy playing pool volleyball with family and friends when our pool's open!
